Sports Heaven
Atlanta, the largest city in Georgia, houses an estimated population of about 520,000 people. Any sports fan will feel like they died and went to sports heaven if they lived in Atlanta because it is home to the Atlanta Braves baseball team, Atlanta Hawks basketball team, and the Atlanta Falcons football team. For more than 40 years, the combination of these three sports empires has revitalized the spirit of Atlanta residents.
Tourism is a central factor in the thriving economy of Atlanta. The city is the home of the world’s largest indoor aquarium. The Georgia Aquarium opened its doors for patrons on November 23, 2005. Atlanta is also the home of Underground Atlanta, an historic and well maintained shopping complex. The twist with the Underground Atlanta is that it just so happens to be underground so it provides a dynamic shopping experience for consumers. In addition to shopping, tourists feel honored to have the opportunity to visit the monumental Martin Luther King Jr. National historic site.
As every large city has probably experienced, there is a correlation between a healthy tourism rate and high crime rates. Unfortunately, crime exceeds the average national crime rate. In fact, the city was ranked as the 17th most dangerous big city in America to live in.
Education is thriving in Atlanta as well. The John Marshall Law School, established in 1933, produces hundreds of skilled attorneys from Atlanta each year. The city of Atlanta Georgia is hosting the 2009 Atlanta Consumer Bankruptcy Skills Training Seminar on June 4, 2009. Both new and experienced lawyers from Atlanta can certainly benefit from attending the conference. Atlanta bankruptcy attorneys should register to attend the one day event that will take place in the beginning of June. For more information or to register for the Consumer Bankruptcy Skills Training Seminar, visit the website of the American Bankruptcy Institute at www.abiworld.org.
